GCSE performance depends on two things: subject knowledge and exam technique. Most students who underperform know more than their results suggest. The gap is usually in understanding what examiners are looking for: how to structure an answer, what level of detail is needed, and which marks are easy to pick up consistently.
Our tutors have been through the same exam boards they teach. They know where the marks are, what the common mistakes look like, and how to build the habits that keep students out of the 4-6 grade range when they should be in the 7-9 range.
Every programme includes weekly past paper practice with detailed marking and feedback. Not just correct/incorrect — why each mark is awarded and what a model answer looks like.

We work with students at different points — those trying to reach a pass, those aiming for 7-9, and everything between. The programme is different depending on the starting point.
Grades 3-4
Focus on fundamental gaps, model answer practice, and building confidence under exam conditions. Grade 4 is the target.
Grades 5-6
Closing the gaps between what students know and what they can write under pressure. Grade 7 is the target.
Grades 7-8
Extended answer technique, mark scheme familiarity, and the subtle distinctions that separate Grade 8 from Grade 9.
